HFHMC is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build affordable houses in partnership with God and families in need. There are many different ways that you can help Habitat for Humanity by volunteering.
Committees
Family Selection
The Family Selection Committee is responsible for following the selection criteria used to select families for approval by the board of directors. The committee is also responsible for:
Family Support
The committee provides resources, guidance and education and builds a relationship with each family. The committee specifically works with families on:
Church Relations
The primary role is to identify contacts in various churches and to provide “door openers” into as many congregations as possible. A Church Relations team member is responsible for:
Construction
Age Requirement: Must be 16 or over

Group Opportunities
Team Builds are an excellent way to build teamwork within your work force while doing good deeds in the community. If your company or organization would like to schedule a team build day, please contact Barbara Smith, Executive Director.
Rehab for Humanity
Individuals or groups can register to be on this list of volunteers. They will be used on an “as needed” basis. Minor construction skills are useful, but training can be provided on site. To learn more about the Rehab for Humanity program, click here.
General Home Construction
Age Requirement: Must be 16 or over
Two Saturdays per month are scheduled build site workdays. Minor construction skills are useful, but training can be provided on site. All volunteers must register with the Habitat office prior to the volunteer day.
Please note that we sometimes are scheduling groups at least 60 days in advance. Our sponsoring groups are given scheduling priority as it is those who provide both financial support and volunteer time that allow us to build affordable homes.
