ReStore
What does recycling have to do with building simple, decent housing?
The answer is found in ReStore, an innovative recycling venture
that is quickly spreading across the country.
Builders donate useable surplus materials that would otherwise end up in a
landfill to Habitat for Humanity's ReStore. The
facility sells the good quality building materials and home improvement items
at greatly reduced prices, enabling those in need to revitalize their homes
and neighborhoods while benefiting Habitat for Humanity.

The Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is located at 1501 S. 7th
Street, Conroe (get map,
or Exit I-45 at the Gladstell exit; Go east to 7th, turn right),
right next to our new offices,
and officially opened to the public July 15, 2005. It is
open Fridays and Saturdays from 10-4. The hours may be expanded if
there are enough volunteers to cover more days. ReStore accepts both cash and
checks (with proper ID) for purchases. Save a buck and help build a home!
For day-to-day operations ReStore relies primarily on volunteers who can
choose from a variety of tasks including working on the sales floor,
receiving and pricing donations, organizing and placing donations in the
warehouse, and picking up donations. We are looking especially for someone
to help post our merchandise on our website or eBay.
ReStore now accepts donations; however,
please do not just drop off donations, but call for pick up or to make
specific arrangements to deliver items. Keep ReStore in mind when you
need to either purchase for or clean out your home or business.
